Smarty
Privacy Policy
This draft explains Smarty’s intended privacy approach. It is placeholder legal language and should be reviewed by a children’s privacy attorney before launch.
Information We Collect
Smarty may collect account information, parent approval information, child profile settings, homework submissions, progress events, and app diagnostics needed to provide the service.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to provide homework support, save progress, manage parent permissions, improve safety, and operate the app. Smarty does not sell personal data.
Children's Privacy
Younger students require parent approval before Smarty creates an account or collects homework-related personal information. Under-13 profiles are designed to be private by default.
Parent Rights
Parents should be able to review, manage, export, and request deletion of their child’s data. These controls will be expanded as Smarty’s parent dashboard grows.
Data Security
Smarty is designed to use private storage, authenticated access, short-lived links where appropriate, and backend controls for sensitive child data.
Contact Information
For privacy questions, contact the Smarty team through the support channel that will be published before launch.
